The inspiration behind LAO LUOZI（老騾子） comes from the founder's mother, who was born in Hunan and had a lifelong passion for spicy food. Determined to recreate the authentic, aromatic, and layered chili flavor remembered from childhood, the founder devoted years to research and product development. After countless trials, only premium Bird's Eye chilies proved capable of delivering the rich aroma and distinctive character that had inspired this journey.

The name LAO LUOZI（老騾子） was chosen to honor both the perseverance shown throughout the development process and the resilient spirit inherited from the founder's mother. Today, it represents our unwavering commitment to authentic flavor, exceptional quality, and the pursuit of excellence.
